Subject:Long time no post
Time:7:20 pm.
Mood:working.
Well, well... It's been another long gap between posts. Motivation for posting has been lacking, as well as time.

Things that have been going on, in no real order:

I moved. The landlord let his daughter move into our place, so my roommate and I parted ways a little over a month ago. I moved into a small guest cottage in the neighborhood as it was basically the only thing for rent. It's SUPER small. I can not even begin to describe the smallness. The majority of my possessions are in storage at a friends house. It's really nice to be back to living alone again though. I'm about a ten minute walk from the old haunt, which isn't too bad. I do miss being across the street however. I'll be in this place for probably a few more months, then school will end and things will once again open up as far as rental properties go.

I've still been working a lot. A LOT. January was a crappy month for us, but February has been shaping up very well. I will hopefully have a new part time employee soon to ease some of the day to day crap I deal with, so that will certainly help out considerably.

Social life has been pretty decent. I finally went on a date with CK, who has been hounding me to take her out forever. I finally relented a few weeks ago. I enjoy her company, but have some reservations. Some strange dinner conversation went on, with her talking about some stuff that I just felt was a little inappropriate for first date conversation, even if we have known each other for a year now. After we went out she started acting a little possessive and crazy, like we were now dating or something, which I wasn't too cool on. She chilled that action really fast when I didn't respond to it, and we've hung out a few times since. I was really nice on Valentine's Day. I didn't ask her if she wanted to do anything, but she called me up and asked me if I wanted to go to a concert with her and her roommate that night. I declined as I was working late, but made some phone calls and got her backstage passes and free tickets. MAJOR bonus points for me. She was very appreciative and we ended up meeting up after the show.

A story of debauchery for the masked avenger... I was out one weekday last week, and my buddy shows up with this friend of his that I had met before, a former stripper. She was really drunk. She gave me a lap dance inside the bar and we made out a little. My friend got annoyed and drove her home, much to my disappointment. She was really drunk, but still. :) Anyway, right after they leave I'm sitting at a table with some friends and these two girls come and sit down next to me and introduce themselves. One of them is from out of town to attend a wedding. We start talking and hit it off, the next thing you know we are making out in the bar. She comes back to my place. When she leaves I asked her if she wanted to get together over the weekend, but she says she is busy with wedding stuff and won't have any time, but that she was glad she met me and had a great time. Cool. Fine with me, I had fun, she was a nice girl, and I have no worries. Well, she had mentioned to me that she knew a friend of mine, another regular at the old haunt. I see said friend a couple of nights later and mention that I had met this girl, and said something about her being from out of town. Friend informs me she is not from out of town and in fact lives in the area. Wow. I completely got used and lied to. What a guy thing to do! :) Didn't bother me in the least, I still had some fun, which is all I was looking for anyway. It will certainly be weird however if I ever run into her again. Strange... Anyway... thought masked avenger would enjoy that story. :)

Went to Sedona and Oak Creek canyon with MrA to do some hiking and photography this weekend. Learned a couple of things. 1.) I need some good hiking shoes pretty bad if I plan on doing much more of that. 2.) I really need to buy a good wide angle zoom for my camera. You can not do landscape/nature photography with a low end telephoto zoom and expect any good results. I also need to learn more Photoshop skills in regards to digital photography. I think images need some significant processing to get the results I'm used to, especially compared to shooting slide film, and I need to learn more about the things I can do to bring out those results. I really need to get back shooting on a regular basis, because my skills are super super rusty.

Anyway... there is certainly much more to discuss, but that's all for now.

The Pool Boy
Random Gentle Sex Dreamer (RGSDm)

Friendly and eager. You are The Pool Boy.

A teen at heart, you anxiously move about your daily tasks, hoping, praying for a good, instant lay. You're carefree, enthusiastic, and rarely discouraged. Love is cool, but it's not for you right now. You know what is? Crotches.

You're a fun person in both big and small groups, and your friends trust and love you. Inside you, meanwhile, your lust is only growing. Imagine your beating heart sprouting pubic hair. Exactly. Try shaving that.

Your exact opposite:
The False Messiah

Deliberate Brutal Love Master
If you're not scoring enough--which you aren't--you should adopt new strategies. Lower your standards. Be aggressive. Pool Boys are often submissive and hope (desperately) sex will find them. Realize that passiveness will not hook the horny girls you desire. A bolder approach and sheer repetition will.

Subject:Happy 2006
Time:10:28 am.
Another year gone. I have been deathly ill the past week and couldn't really participate in the amateur debauchery of New Years Eve. I honestly wasn't overly upset about it really. My sister and a friend of hers drove into town yesterday to go to a concert, and we had some dinner at the old haunt and a couple of cocktails. They went on their way to the other side of town to see their show, and I stayed in. I literally could barely speak, since I had used up all of my voice the previous two days at work, so there wasn't much point in going out anyway. The Bridesmaid called me a little after 11pm, when she was celebrating her New Year in Chicago, but I could barely talk to her. I watched the New Year kick in by sitting on my front porch and watching the fireworks, smoking a cigarette, and drinking my glass of orange juice. Part of me wanted to be sad about it, but I really just wasn't. New Years Eve is a huge amateur event anyway, and is almost always a disappointment for me. I'll take some random hardcore Tuesday night partying any day.

I will be glad when this sickness passes though. This is the sickest I've been in a very long time. Started out as flu like symptoms, then progressed into what I think is a throat/sinus type infection. Good times. It started when I woke up Monday at my parents house for the last day of my trip there, and had stuck with me all week. I took Tuesday and Wednesday off from work, but the employees were slacking hardcore with no one around to guide them, and we had lots of year end books to close out and stuff, so I suffered through it on Thursday and Friday. That led to me completely losing my voice yesterday. Great times.

Christmas was decent. Good times with the parents, some cool gifts given and received, and of course great food. The weather was actually great for once, so I didn't freeze to death there this year. Much appreciated.

My sister and her friend head back out today. I can not believe they drove 20 hours each way to see a show, especially since they are only staying the one night. Crazy kids.

Since I went to bed at 1am last night, I woke up bright and early at around 8. Still waiting for signs of life from anyone else. Not sure when my sister got in, they are crashed out on the couch in the living room. I'm guessing they will sleep for a while considering the long drive and the likely hardcore drinking they did last night. This is the first New Years Eve in many years I have not woken up with a hangover. Kind of strange. Maybe it's a sign of things to come... Heh. Let's not take it that far. As soon as I am over this sickness there is a night of HARDCORE partying coming up. I deserve it.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Years Eve. May 2006 bring us all great things.

Time:6:56 pm.

Another long break from the blog by yours truly. I know, I know. I just find that I have little time to spend on this, and sometimes just not that much to talk about. The holiday season is insane of course, and work has been really, really busy. We're posting some record numbers, which makes me happy though. More money for me. :)

Thanksgiving was good. Spent it with a new friend, CS and an older friend, CE. Had a great dinner and some good company. CS's dog escaped and I spent some time driving around the neighborhood with her looking for it. Thankfully it was just down the street. When I initially met her I thought there might be some potential, but she turned out to not be all that interesting on much more than a surface level. That, and she is a red head, which I just naturally shy away from. I'm sure that partly stems from the relationship many years back with the Crazy Red Head to end all Crazy Red Heads, but who knows. You know them red heads are all crazy... :)

I actually had ditched a certain best friends birthday party to go out with her the weekend before, and we had a good time. I do still feel like a very bad person for missing the birthday action however.

My grandfather has been hanging on for a little over a year now, and finally passed away last week. I was all set to head out to the funeral, but an ice storm passed through Dallas and they cancelled all the flights in at the last moment, and I unfortunately was unable to attend. I feel bad I couldn't go. Stupid mother nature.

One more week till Christmas, and I haven't done ANY shopping at all. I'll be braving the mobs tomorrow I guess and taking care of my parents. Still not sure what to get my mom or my sister, and my sister and I got in a fight last week over the phone, and now she doesn't seem to be returning my calls. Nice. Maybe she'll get a really big fucking piece of coal from me this year. I'll be heading to hee-haw land to visit the family again this year. Lots of visits with the aunts and uncles and shit are planned this time around, it should be a full weekend. I'll probably need a vacation once it's all over.

Anyway... As far as everything else... The Bridesmaid and I continue to talk almost every day. It's pretty frustrating that she lives so far away. I have been spending time with CK off and on over the past month or so, but I don't think I would ever really officially date her. She's fun to hang out and drink with though, and always nice to have someone to take home on a semi-regular basis.

I have to move next month and have still not found a place to live. It's going to come down to the wire, and I'm starting to stress a bit. I'm not even sure if my roommate and I are going to stick together or not. Depends on if we can find a decent house. I don't want to leave the neighborhood I'm in, so that's limiting my choices as well.

Anyway... Holiday work party tonight. w00t! Gotta lock up the office and get going.

Yes, I know... It's been forever. You probably thought I abandoned you. I have lately. Work remains all consuming. Social life has been good lately. The Bridesmaid and I have continued to talk a lot still, and she'll be out in February to visit. Still trying to talk her into moving here. Also met another interesting one lately as well. She actually has held my interest because she wouldn't sleep with me one night, because she said we had to go on a real date first. I was a bit thrown off by this, but a part of me was slightly intrigued as well. That was a couple of weeks ago, and our schedules haven't permitted that real date yet, but possibly next week.

Saw Motley Crue a few weeks back and had a really good time. CB bought me tickets for my birthday. Despite other people thinking the show sucked, I thought it was OK. It was an arena show, so I didn't expect a whole lot. Sound quality was typically bad, but it was fun either way.

Went to the Coyotes game last week and saw them spank the LA Kings 4-0. Also got to see my first pro football game this past Sunday. Of course we lost terribly to the Seahawks, because we are so unbelievably bad, but it was fun to go. That turned into an all day, 14 hour drinking marathon with a buddy, my boss, and later in the evening some others from work. We all paid for that dearly on Monday. I barely made it to work, one of my employees that was out with us woke up two and a half hours late, and ended up just calling in sick. Good times.

Heading to see Static-X and Ill Nino tonight with the boss and a couple of coworkers, as well as my buddy CJ. Should be a promising evening. We will no doubt get into some serious trouble.

Had to throw down and buy a really nice new suit the other day, as my grandfathers condition has worsened, and he isn't expect to be around more than another month or two. I'll have to attend his funeral, which will suck. I've never been to one, but I hear southern funerals are quite the ordeal. Should be pretty awful.

Thinking of more ways to spend my bonus I'll get after the first part of the year. Thinking I need to finally throw down and buy a digital SLR. Looking at both Canon and Nikon (5D vs like the D200 probably?) and I need to know pros vs cons for both. I've been out of the game for so long I don't really know. D200 is a lot cheaper than the 5D, and I've always traditionally heard better things about Nikkor glass. I've shot with Nikon film cameras and they were OK, but I've always owned Minolta. I wouldn't even consider Minolta for a DSLR, so Canon or Nikon it is. Lots of feedback from people pushing me towards Nikon lately, but I know you have lots of feedback [info]mra, so let's hear it. I know you love your Canon 10D.

Anyway, I better head out and prepare for tonights debauchery. I'll try and get back on this blogging thing again soon. I know you all miss me dearly. :P

Time:4:38 pm.

Apple released more new stuff today. New iMac G5's with built in iSight cameras and remote controls. Pretty slick, and price drops as well, which is always nice. I do have a small bitch. There is 512MB of RAM onboard now, with ONE empty slot. The machine is upgradeable to 2.5GB of RAM. In order to do this, you have to purchase a 2GB RAM module. 2GB RAM modules, of DDR2 PC4200 RAM, are NOT cheap right now. Apple's price on these is $1,200, which is of course completely absurd. You can easily find them for half to a quarter of that price elsewhere, but still.

The video iPod is finally here. People can stop their whining. This is cool, but doesn't really get me super excited. Being able to buy TV episodes through the iTunes Music Store is really cool however. $1.99 per episode is very reasonable. Unfortunately, right now they only have ABC TV shows. I downloaded the first couple of Lost episodes from the first season. The quality is pretty ass to be honest, but then again, I played them full screen on my 17" PB. They are obviously made to be viewed on the iPod screen, or plugged into a television, which would be low res anyway. It would be nice to be able to buy higher quality versions though.

The new remote and Front Row software is VERY slick. Photo Booth? Are you serious? Lame.

Newsgator purchased NetNewsWire.

"So what's coming? In the next few months, we'll release a new version of NetNewsWire that will synchronize seamlessly with the NewsGator Online platform, and by extension, all other products that use this platform. So, for example, you'll be able to use NetNewsWire at home, FeedDemon or Outlook edition at work, Mobile edition on the road, and Web edition in an internet cafe. And no matter which product you use, your feeds, read/unread states, and other relevant data will be kept in sync. Good stuff - expect no less."

Sweet. Synching across multiple types of devices and methods of feed reading will be nice. Even if these days I am pretty much just using my laptop for all of my computing needs.

I hope Brent got a nice fatty chunk of change for NNW, he deserves it for making such a kick ass product. Here's hoping The Gator doesn't do anything stupid with such a great piece of software.

Subject:Yet another year older...
Time:6:51 pm.
Mood:working.
Another year older this weekend. Celebrated the last of the 20's birthdays on Saturday night. Started off at my favorite sushi restaurant where much sushi and many sake bombers were consumed. CB and CR met me at the house and we headed down to the restaurant where we met up with some of my coworkers. CJ joined us, and after sushi we all migrated to works favorite local strip club of choice and spent the rest of the night there. LOTS of drinking was done there, and I had this girl in my lap the entire night that could bend in ways I've never even imagined. Crazy shit.

CB took me to lunch yesterday at an awesome restaurant, and then we went to the New Haunt for some day drinking. My boss showed up, and day drinking turned into night drinking. I pulled the plug around 10pm or so and went home and collapsed. Another successful binge drinking experience. Very good times.

Special thanks to certain friends of mine that completely ditched me, in order to go BBQ with Masked Avenger instead. You are teh gigantic suck. Both of you.

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist
complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked
how long it took him to catch them.

"Not very long," answered the Mexican.

"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the
American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his
needs and those of his family.

The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta
with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends,
have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs... I have a full
life."

The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help
you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the
extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."

"And after that?" asked the Mexican.

"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second
one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate
directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant.
You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los
Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new
enterprise."

"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.

"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American.

"And after that?"

"Afterwards? Well my Friend, That's when it gets really interesting,"
answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you
can start selling stocks and make millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?" said the Mexican.

"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the
coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a
siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your
friends."

And the moral is: Know where you're going in life... you may already be there.

Subject:IKEA Tempe: A Review
Time:3:03 pm.
Mood: sick.
I finally decided to brave the IKEA that opened this past year in the valley. I had a gift card I had gotten for Christmas that I had never had a chance to use. The intended purpose of the card was for a new coffee table, but I didn't really find anything I liked. Here's the review of the entire experience.

Despite being open now for many, many months, this place is a fucking zoo. Took a while to find a parking space. I finally just gave up and parked at the end of the lot. Made the hike into the store. Up the escalator to the second floor and stopped at the restaurant, which I have heard so much about from my Swedish friends. After braving the looooong line for food, I decided on the Swedish meatball plate, in order to have the full swedish experience. I also got the Lingonberry mouse, and a bowl of Chicken Tortilla soup. What the hell do Swedes know about Chicken Tortilla soup you might ask? This is a question I should have asked myself before getting this, because it was horrible. What do I expect? The meatballs were tasty, although I'm a bit confused about the lingonberry jam that is served with it. Is this like a desert, or are you supposed to mix it with the meatballs and roast potatoes? Either way, it was tasty, but pretty much just like cranberries. No super big deal here.

After fueling my body for the shopping experience, I embarked on the adventure. The place is MASSIVE. It's also incredibly confusing to navigate. There is a defined path you are supposed to take, but there are shortcuts everywhere leading to other areas of the store, making it very easy to get turned around quickly, which I did, several times. They have little rooms setup everywhere to show how everything works and fits together, which is really nice, but if you find something you like, you have to read the tags to find out where you actually pickup said item. I browsed through the coffee tables, and didn't find anything I really liked, so decided I would get a new quilt and sheets for the bed. Off to the bedroom area. This is where things get really annoying, because in SOME of the rooms on display, they would have the exact sheets right there that you could pick up, but not ALL of them. Of course the ones I wanted were to be had elsewhere in the store, not next to where they were displayed. Awesome. Off to the Marketplace area then so I can pick these up. Finally found my way to the exit down to the second level, which was a set of stairs. What's the deal with having escalators into or up to a store, but stairs down? Would love to read the marketing spiel on that. So I find myself downstairs in the Marketplace area, which is also massive, and not so super easy to locate things in. You have to again wander a set path through the place, so that you can pass all kinds of crap you don't want, in order to get out. Now this is actually marketing brilliance of course, because you are likely to purchase all kinds of shit you don't want or need, because you have to walk by it. Can't blame them there. Finally find the bedding area, end up getting an even different set of sheets and quilt cover that I like better, and then have to wander through the place more to get to the checkout. Checkout was quick and painless, but weird that you have to bag your own crap. Even stranger that they don't actually tell you this. The checkout girl just threw my crap down the end of the register, took my payment and thanked me. I'm wondering what I do with all my shit, when I walk down to the end and see the sign that tells you that "In order to insure you make it home with everything you bought, you should bag your own purchases." OK, that's fine. I bag my stuff and make the long hike back to the car.

Items purchased: Sheets, new pillows, quilt cover, new quilt, bathmat, and a candle. Amount spent: $104 and some change, plus the cost of lunch. Total time: about two hours.

Now mind you, I'm still fighting off some sickness, and abhor shopping in general, so this isn't a negative review, just my experience. I would indeed return, and would be much more prepared this time, as I am now aware of How Things Work.

Subject:So busy
Time:2:54 pm.
Mood:working.
A month since my last post. Sheesh. It's been a busy, busy time for the HonkeyHunter lately. Sooooo much work lately. Things have been busier than ever around the office, which is good, but pretty stressful at times. I definitely need a vacation soon. Definitely. I'm starting to feel a bit of some sickness coming on, probably because I have pushed my body and mind to the max this past week. I stayed in last night and went to bed really early, and did feel a bit better today. Drinking lots of Vitamin Water today, hoping the vitamins will help my body fight back whatever evil bug is trying to take hold.

The Seether concert I spoke of turned out to be quite interesting. The day before The Bridesmaid came into town, and we went out for sushi. We had a blast at dinner, really good conversation, and had a bit too much to drink probably. I walked her back to her hotel after dinner and said goodnight. She was in town one more day, but I had told her I already had plans for the next night unfortunately, to attend a concert. I would have invited her, had I not already planned on going with The Hot Bartender from the new haunt. So the next night I meet The Hot Bartender at the new haunt, and we down some drinks. I also had other friends coming, some from my old job that I offered tickets to, and another buddy that called that night and was interested in going. Made some phone calls and pulled some strings to get everyone in, and was told that there was no way any additional people could be put on Seether's list, as it was maxed out as it was. Then I get a text message from The Bridesmaid, telling me she is back at the sushi restaurant (which is actually across the street from the new haunt) and is on her upteenth dirty martini, and just wanted to thank me for dinner the night before, and to tell me to have fun at the concert. I text her back and tell her we are getting ready to go, and are across the street. She texts back and asks if that is an invitation for her to go. I ignore it, since I am with The Hot Bartender. Five minutes later, she is standing there. Wow. She actually just came right over without me responding. So now I am in an interesting situation. I like The Bridesmaid, but I'm already essentially on a date with The Hot Bartender. Decisions...decisions. I can't just leave her there, so I do what any absolute idiot would do, I invite her along as well. I introduce her to The Hot Bartender, await my pending death, and surprisingly no sparks fly. No cat fight. Cool. I begin to wonder if I could actually be getting away with bringing a girl to a date. Now, I've already been told there is no way I can get any additional people into the show, and it's sold out, so I'm wondering how I'm possibly going to be getting The Bridesmaid in. Since I've had a few drinks, and am feeling quite good about myself for having two hot women with me, I decide to take the chance. We hop into my old coworkers car and cruise down to the show. We get to the ticket office and get our backstage passes, then I begin the negotiation process. Somehow, due only to the grace of some higher power looking out for me, I manage to acquire another pass for The Bridesmaid. My game was ON that night apparently. We get into the show and hung out backstage for a few minutes. I'm bored hanging around rock stars, so head to the bar with The Bridesmaid and The Hot Bartender in tow. We head out to the patio to have a smoke, where we all end up hanging out for a while since no one was interested in seeing the opening bands. Once Seether came on The Hot Bartender got tired of me splitting my attention, and goes inside. She's a huge fan anyway, and really wanted to see them, so I didn't even bother to try stopping her. The Bridesmaid and I went inside and made our way all the way through the crowd to dance and hear the band. Apparently the air conditioning was broken or turned off, because it was about 5000 degrees inside the club. Add that to the fact that it was a totally sold out, overbooked show in the first place. I practically died of heat exhaustion, but had a great time dancing with The Bridesmaid until a big mosh pit broke out and we decided to head back out. After the show some of the group went back to meet the band, which I didn't care all that much about. We ended up going back to the new haunt afterwards and having some more drinks. The Hot Bartender left a little early. I was worried she was probably pissed at me, but the next time I saw her she was as friendly as ever, and she still gives me most of my drinks for free, so I think I somehow made out OK. I ended up walking The Bridesmaid back to her hotel after she managed to fall a couple of times. (She was wearing very inappropriate business heels as she was in town on a business trip and didn't have anything casual, to her credit.)

So all in all, that turned out to be a really great time. Not sure how I didn't get myself into trouble for bringing two different women out that night, but I pulled it off well. Also managed to use my superior powers of persuasion to even get an extra backstage pass out of an overbooked, sold out, show. Again, my game was fucking ON that night.

I've been talking to The Bridesmaid a lot lately since she left. It's really too bad she lives so crazy far way. She's coming back out again soon hopefully and we'll get to spend some more time together.

I met someone last week who normally would fall below my age cutoff, but she was really cool, so I had to make an exception. I was at the old haunt last Sunday, and it was my buddy's birthday. He is a big fan of the Jager as well, so of course we had to down stupid amounts of it. His buddy saw these two girls walk in, and one of them was really cute, so he decided he needs to try and get our friend laid. He takes on the wingman role and starts chatting up the unattractive one, buying them both drinks. He introduces them to all of us, and the cute one just keeps staring at me and smiling. The two other guys get up to go have a smoke, and she asks me to come sit by them. We end up chatting about stuff we had in common, and I end up inviting her to a football game, since my company recently purchased a package of season tickets for the Arizona Cardinals. Later on in the evening we're sitting at another table, and she mentions something to someone else about HER BOYFRIEND. What the hell? I kind of go off on her, asking her why she agreed to go see a game with me when she had a boyfriend. Turns out her boyfriend was in South Korea for quite a while (see a parallel here, those of you who know me well?) and she kind of blew it off. Ah, she's not that into the relationship... I see. :) So... Yeah. I actually need to call her today and she what she's up to this evening, as I haven't had time to call yet this week. Hope six days isn't too long. I am a little concerned about the whole her being 22 thing, but she seems very cool, so hopefully it's OK. Had meant to call her earlier this week to go to this benefit with me, but it got too late and didn't want to be that person that calls last minute for something like that.

So there. In summary, work = stressful and busy, game = strong, immune system = weakened. Working another six day week this week, so there will be lots of debauchery tonight, and lots and lots of sleeping tomorrow hopefully.

There you go kids, sorry it's been almost a month. Hope you enjoyed todays episode. :)

Watched Constantine last night. Pretty decent movie, despite Keanu's lack of acting ability. Worth checking out. The scene with the devil at the end was sweet.

Figured since I have backstage passes to see Seether next week and barely even know who they are, I should probably check them out. Grabbed the new album this morning and am pleasantly surprised. I thought they were more of a metal band. Shows what I know. Good stuff, check them out. I'll be seeing them live next Wednesday and will get to hang out and meet the band before and after the show. Pays to have connections. :) Especially when a certain very hot bartendress at the new haunt who happens to consider them one of her favorite bands will be joining me for the show. I'm getting HUGE points for that.

Pure Nerd
60 % Nerd, 43% Geek, 13% Dork
For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

You scored better than half in all Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Congratulations!
